Day 173 - June 21 In Memory
In Memory
Even a few short hours
(Yet they do seem long)
I looked at you
Snapped a photo
Thinking nothing much-
You were doing fine-
Taking for granted
You would continue
Indefinitely
Sweet little one
And then
Disaster struck
And it seems so silly
If only-if only-
Why-it seems so silly
I didn't care for you
In the way I should
My poor, poor
Sweet little one
And now you are gone.
In memory of sweet little Moelrscoyn, Hakeber, and Corland and four unnamed chicks.
