Wind Versus Woodburner
When the wind whistles 'round
with that cold blowing sound
turning your thoughts to snow on the ground
there is nothing better which I have found
than a fire.
Though it pounds on the grating
the wind can just keep on waiting
those cheerful flames hating
for it can't, whatever its rating,
touch our fire.
